3 Overwatch League Teams Not to Sleep on for Season 2

The Overwatch League Season One playoffs are officially ongoing, with teams already being eliminated right and left. The Los Angeles Gladiators played an excellent series against the London Spitfire, only to have the Spitfire return to claim victory soon after. Once the playoffs end, players, fans and analysts will have plenty of time before the next season to speculate on roster changes, new strategies under new game patches, and even the introduction of new teams moving forward. The future of the Overwatch League itself looks bright, but individual teams may find themselves struggling to keep up with ever-changing standards of gameplay in the competition.

In Season One, the Dallas Fuel and Seoul Dynasty were expected by many to rise to the standard of their former reputations in their new Overwatch League incarnations, but many fans were disappointed by their level of play and internal drama. Conversely, the Los Angeles Gladiators and Los Angeles Valiant were presumed middle of the pack teams that rose to engage and threaten teams of the highest caliber, including the London Spitfire and New York Excelsior. The level of competition all around has been tight, but there are a few teams that, despite consisting of undoubtedly skilled players, haven’t fully realized the hopes and dreams of their fans.
